Director of Fundraising and Marketing
Taylor graduated from Nipissing University’s Bachelor of Physical and Health Education program with Honours. While completing her undergraduate degree, Taylor was awarded the Dave Marshall Leadership Award for the implementation of a positive body image awareness campaign titled #iamstrongHER. This campaign was highly publicized in the community and it empowered female students to love the body they were given.
Rather than applying to teacher’s college like she originally planned to do, Taylor applied to do her Masters of Science in Kinesiology with specialization in Health Promotion. Her thesis is focused on body image and eating disorders amongst female students. Later this year, she will be defending her thesis.
During the summer before she began her Masters, she was chosen for an internship at the North Bay Regional Health Centre Foundation (NBRHC) as a Campaign Assistant. This is where she discovered her passion for fundraising and marketing. Taylor worked on the Cancer Care Close to Home campaign which raised $6.4 million in order to purchase state-of-the-art medical equipment for cancer care. Taylor had the ability to learn from experienced senior fundraisers who inspired her to change career paths and enter the fundraising world.
